Dawnay, Day Sirius Limited (the 'Company') announces that on 24 January 2008 it
purchased 503,750 ordinary shares at an average price of EUR 0.755 per share.

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 2,184,739 of its ordinary shares
in treasury and has 325,615,261 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury
shares).
