The selection criteria included growth in assets, profitability,
geographic reach, strategic relationships, customer service, new
business development, competitive pricing and innovation in products
and - vitally this year - the ability to weather an economic and
financial storm.
The Global Finance Magazine annual surveys ranks the performance of
the best banks around the world, and the awards are made after
extensive consultations with bankers, corporates and equity and
credit analysts worldwide.
