Appointment of new Chief Financial Officer
Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: SMS.L) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Thompson as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
Mr Thompson, aged 40, is a qualified accountant and was previously Group Finance Director at SMS until his appointment as Interim CFO in August. He has a number of years' experience in senior finance roles, latterly at Energetics Multi Utility Group, a company owned by Macquarie Bank, and before that he held Audit Director posts in PwC LLP and Johnston Carmichael LLP.
Mr Thompson succeeds David Harris, who left the Company in August due to ill health.
