Board changes
Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: "SMS", the "Group"), which installs and manages smart meters, energy data, grid-scale battery storage and other carbon reduction ("CaRe") assets, announces that Gavin Urwin will step down as CFO and as an executive director of SMS on 1 December 2022 to take up another opportunity.
The Board is pleased to announce that Gail Blain will be appointed as CFO and as an executive director from 1 December 2022. Gail, currently the Group's Financial Controller and who has been with the Group since 2016, is a Chartered Accountant and has an in-depth understanding of the business having been actively involved in all areas of finance, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, tax and delivering corporate finance strategy support to the leadership team. Prior to joining the Group, she worked at Aggreko plc and BAA Limited Group.
Gavin will remain available to the Group until 31 March 2023 and support a handover period with Gail.
