RESELLER AND DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH OBSIDIAN TELECOMS

UP TO 50% SAVINGS ON MOBILE PHONE BILLS

FOR COMS CUSTOMERS

Internet voice and video services provider Coms plc ("Coms" or the "Company") announces that it has entered into a reseller and distribution agreement with Obsidian Telecoms plc ("Obsidian") to provide a mobile phone call savings package for Coms' customers. 

Obsidian has developed a mobile gateway solution that enables its existing enterprise customers, such as NHS trusts, and enterprise customers, such as Halfords, to aggregate their mobile call minutes thereby enabling them to get a better price from mobile networks. This can result in savings of up to 50 per cent on their current call rates to mobile phones.

Coms and Obsidian have already won their first client - a national employment agency chain - and under the agreement, Coms will aggregate the agency's traffic using its VoIP network and will receive a revenue share on all mobile call minutes.  Coms and Obsidian are in talks with a number of other potential client organisations.

Coms CEO, Richard Bennett, commented: 'Given the climate for cost saving, we expect Obsidian's mobile solutions offering, which reduces mobile call minutes, to be as well received by our enterprise customers, as through Coms' wholly owned distribution company, Vcomm's network of resellers.'

Significantly, Coms has also completed interoperability testing of Obsidian's mobile solution with Microsoft's new Lync communications application and will include it as part of the Company's pbx service offering.  Microsoft estimates that Lync will have 1/3 of the corporate pbx market within five years.  

'This will immediately generate a recurring income stream that will help Coms towards its primary goal of becoming profitable in the near term', says Richard Bennett, 'as well as strengthening our Lync proposition to enterprise customers which is a major goal for Coms in 2011.'
