David Buttfield (age 56), who was Group Finance Director from 12 January 1994
until 5 November 2002, retires from the Board of Directors of the Company with
immediate effect from 31 January 2003. This is in line with the announcement
made on 5 November 2002 that David Buttfield would take early retirement
following the hand-over of his responsibilities to Gavin Morris who became Group
Finance Director on that date.
