                          GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR CHANGE





Further to the announcement made on 4 December 2007, DS Smith Plc confirms that
Steve Dryden has today joined the Board as Group Finance Director.



As anticipated in the announcement of 20 November 2007, Gavin Morris has stepped
down from the Board today and will be leaving the Company on 30 April 2008.
