Smith & Nephew analyst visit
Smith & Nephew, the global medical devices company, today began the hosting of
a two-day visit of institutional investors and analysts to two of the Group's
UK facilities. The visit includes the global headquarters and main
manufacturing plant of the Advanced Wound Management business in Hull,
Yorkshire, and the Group's Research and Development Centre in York. During
the visit, guests have the opportunity to meet the senior management at both
locations, visit the Hull manufacturing facilities, receive presentations on
new and existing products and gain an insight into the direction of Smith &
Nephew's research and development programme. The visit is hosted by Chief
Executive, Chris O'Donnell and Group Finance Director, Peter Hooley.
Chris O'Donnell told the visitors: 'Smith & Nephew is world leader in
advanced wound management, a market that continues to show strong growth
throughout the world. We have transformed our wound management business over
the last two years and are in an excellent position to take advantage of a
market that offers considerable future potential, and supports our aim of
underlying sales growth in double digits.'
'Our Group research and development programme has always been well regarded
for the quality of its innovation, and in recent years we have refined our
focus on tissue repair even further to help maintain the momentum of new
product introduction well into the next decade.'
