Dealing by Directors in Ordinary shares of Smith & Nephew plc
We have been notified today that the following directors of
the Company have increased their beneficial holdings of
Ordinary shares of 10 pence each in Smith & Nephew plc,
through the Dividend Re-investment Plan for the 1999 Interim
Dividend paid on 08 December 1999, as follows, each share was
purchased at 204 pence:
Mr C.J. O'Donnell acquired 221 shares and now holds 19,490
shares representing 0.0017% of the issued Ordinary share
capital.
Dr Nancy J. Lane acquired 35 shares and now holds 2,934 shares
representing 0.0003% of the issued share capital.
Sir Timothy Lankester acquired 32 shares through the Dividend
Re-investment Plan and 21 shares by re-investment of the
dividend through a non-discretionary single company PEP at a
price of 201.5 pence each. He now holds 6,389 shares
representing 0.0006% of the issued share capital.
