SMITH & NEPHEW PLC

STERLING AMOUNT OF DIVIDEND

As announced on 6 February 2014, a final dividend of 17.0 US cents per Ordinary Share in respect of the year ended 31 December 2013 will be paid on 7 May 2014 to shareholders whose names appeared on the Register at the close of business on 22 April 2014. Those shareholders whose address on the Register is in the UK, and those who have validly elected to receive sterling dividends, will receive a dividend of 10.11 pence per share.
