JOHN CRANE MANAGEMENT CHANGE

Smiths Group plc today announces that Duncan Gillis, President of John Crane, is leaving the Group.

 

The process to appoint a replacement is underway. Tedd Smith, currently President of Flex-Tek, will assume responsibility as Interim President of John Crane with immediate effect. Pat McCaffrey, currently Chief Operations Officer at Flex-Tek, will assume responsibility as Interim President of Flex-Tek.

 

Chief Executive Andy Reynolds Smith said, "I would like to thank Duncan for his contribution to Smiths Group since he joined three years ago and, in particular, for his support to me during my initial integration into Smiths. We have mutually agreed that now is an appropriate time for Duncan to pursue his career outside the Group, and I wish him every success."

 

Current trading for Smiths Group and John Crane is in line with expectations.
