Board Change
Smiths News PLC ("Smiths News" or the "Company"), the UK's leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler and a leading UK book wholesaler, today announces that Alan Humphrey, Group Finance Director, will step down from the Board on 31 August 2010. Alan Humphrey's decision to retire, after 28 years service with Smiths News and WH Smith, was announced on 1 March 2010.
As previously announced on 30 July 2010, Alan is succeeded by Nick Gresham, Chief Financial Officer, who was appointed to the Board on 1 August 2010.
