Skillsgroup plc changes its name to QA plc
Skillsgroup plc, the specialist in IT training and consultancy, indicated in
its preliminary results announcement on 13th February 2001 that it would seek
shareholder approval to change the company's name to QA plc at the AGM to be
held on 27th April.
This resolution was duly passed at the company's AGM and the change of name
will be effective as of today.
The new name more accurately reflects the nature and branding of the company's
business. QA is already a well-recognised name in the IT training market.
The new name endorses the intention to build on this brand equity and via the
reorganisation, announced in December 2000, to create one integrated business.
Keith Burgess, Executive Chairman, commented: 'QA is the number one IT
training provider in the UK. Renaming the company will help us to leverage
this strong brand identity and achieve growth in all our chosen markets. We
will do this by providing the complete range of training services, learning
solutions and consulting skills that improve the IT effectiveness of our
customers.'
