Dublin & London, 17 August, 2007: Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG' or the
'Group'), one of the world's largest integrated manufacturers of paper-based
packaging products, with operations in Europe and Latin America, today announced
that, following the issue on 15 August, of results for the three and six months
ending 30 June 2007, the Group's Interim Report for the six months to 30 June is
being posted to shareholders today, 17 August, and a copy will be available on
the Smurfit Kappa website www.smurfitkappa.com.
