                      Change of Accounting Reference Date



The Board of Solomon Gold plc has changed the accounting reference date of the
Company from 31 December to 30 June. This is to align the Company's accounting
reference date with that of its wholly-owned subsidiary company Australian
Resource Management (A.R.M.) Pty Ltd ('ARM'). The Company's Solomon Islands'
exploration licences are held through ARM, which is an Australian incorporated
company registered as a foreign company in Solomon Islands.
