In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ('DTR'), Solomon Gold plc (the 'Company') was informed on 10 July 2009 by Barclays PLC that, in fulfilment of its obligations under Rule 5 of the DTR, on 8 July 2009, Barclays PLC held (through Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd) 6,666,579 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the capital of the Company, representing approximately 8.94 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
