In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ('DTR'), Solomon Gold plc (the 'Company') was informed on 18 March 2009 by Barclays PLC that, in fulfilment of its obligations under Rule 5 of the DTR, on 13 March, Barclays PLC held (through Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd) 4,580,310 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the capital of the Company, representing approximately 7.02 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
