On 14 February Solomon Gold plc (the 'Company') was informed by FMR Corp. and
Fidelity International Limited that FMR Corp. and Fidelity International Limited
are the beneficial holders of 2,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the
Company representing 7.46 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. This
holding also comprises the notifiable interest of Mr Edward C. Johnson who is a
principal shareholder of FMR Corp. and Fidelity International Limited.
The ordinary shares are held in the following nominee accounts:
