                                Board Change



The board of Solid State Supplies plc announces the retirement of Gordon Comben
from the board of directors with effect from 24th October 2005.



Gordon founded the company in 1971 and has served as a director throughout. As
chairman in the 1990s he guided the company through its conversion to a public
company and its launch onto the Alternative Investment Market.



Having reached the age of 66, Gordon has now decided to retire. The board would
like to thank him for his services to the company and wish him well for the
future
