Polydoc plc (now renamed Sopheon plc ) has today completed the acquisition of
AppliedNet Limited, the consultants, developers and marketers of software
which harnesses and manages information and corporate knowledge.
The acquisition of AppliedNet will strengthen significantly Polydoc's present
systems integration and consulting capabilities and of particular interest to
Polydoc is AppliedNet's recently released Knowledge Agent Software, which can
infiltrate, gather and disseminate both internal and external sources of
information.
mes Malcolm Macfarlane, 44, Managing Director and Founder of AppliedNet, has
today been appointed a Director of Polydoc and will take on the role of Group
Business Development Director. Michael John Brooke, 58, AppliedNet's
Non-Executive Chairman, has today been appointed a Non-Executive Director of
Polydoc.
The change of the Company's name from Polydoc plc to Sopheon plc is effective
from today.

J M Macfarlane was a director of Creon Software Engineering and Application
Development (UK) Limited which was struck off the register of companies and
dissolved on 6 July 1993. Mr Macfarlane has not been criticised publicly or
privately by any statutory or regulatory authority in connection with his
conduct as a director of Creon Software Engineering and Application
Development (UK) Limited.
J M Macfarlane resigned as a director of Zysys Limited in January 1990. It
was subsequently put into liquidation in 1991. Mr Macfarlane has not been
criticised publicly or privately by any statutory or regulatory authority in
connection with his conduct as a director of Zysys Limited.
M J Brooke was a director of PC Support Limited, a computer consultancy
company, from 25 November 1986 until PC Support Limited was dissolved on 3
November 1990. On 7 January 1988 a liquidator of PC Support Limited was
appointed. Mr Brooke has not been criticised publicly or privately by any
statutory or regulatory authority in connection with his conduct as a director
of PC Support Limited.
