                APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR


Sopheon plc ('Sopheon' and formerly PolyDoc plc) is to appoint
Mr  Arif Karimjee as Group Finance Director.  He will take  up
his position in January 2000.

Arif  Karimjee,  aged 32 and a chartered accountant,  will  be
joining Sopheon from Ernst & Young where he has worked for  11
years   since   graduating  in  mechanical  engineering   from
Loughborough University.  At Ernst & Young, Arif has  combined
corporate  advisory,  audit  and  IT  roles  in  a  number  of
positions  which have included a period in Brussels  and  more
recently,  with  Ernst  &  Young Entrepreneurial  Services  in
London  and  Reading.  Arif has assisted a number  of  clients
with  the  process of securing a listing or with  other  stock
exchange transactions, on several exchanges.  He is a director
of Karimjee Givanjee Limited (Tanzania).

Iljitsj  Wiebenga,  currently Finance Director  becomes  Group
Controller and will step down from Sopheon's board  when  Arif
Karimjee joins the company.
