Sopheon announces that it has issued 20,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in
connection with the exercise of a share option by an employee.  Application
has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the shares being issued to be
admitted to the Alternative Investment Market and it is expected that dealings
will commence on Wednesday 12 September 2001.
