Gerry Orbell, Chairman and Chief Executive of Sound Oil, commenting on the appointment, said:
"We are delighted to have appointed someone of Andrew's calibre to the board. He is very much a hands-on explorationist with a track record of finding oil and gas and developing large projects. He is currently focussed on the North Sea but also has a fund of knowledge and experience from a number of countries within the Mediterranean area and South East Asia. I believe his knowledge and advice will be invaluable as we seek further to exploit our asset base."
