Sound Oil plc ("Sound Oil" or the "Company") (AIM: SOU), the upstream oil and
gas company, announces that today (as disclosed in its recent admission
document) it allotted the following new ordinary shares to directors of the
Company for a subscription price in cash of 7.25p per share (the price of the
recently announced placing by the Company): Gerry Orbell (Chairman and Chief
Executive) was allotted 1,655,172 Sound Oil new ordinary shares; and Tony Heath
(Finance Director) was allotted 827,586 Sound Oil new ordinary shares.
Application has been made for the admission of these shares to trading on AIM
and this is expected to become effective on 10 July 2006.
