General Meeting Operational Update : TE8 and Badile
Sound Energy, the African and European focused upstream gas company, announces that the Company will provide the following operational update to the general meeting to be held at 11.00 am today.
Tendrara
The Company's third well (TE-8) at the Tendrara licence, onshore Morocco, has now been successfully drilled to the planned coring point in the TAGI reservoir at a measured depth of 2,696 metres and the Company is now completing coring operations. The Company is pleased to confirm the presence of a TAGI sand sequence, commencing at a measured depth of 2,643 metres, and the presence of gas shows in the TAGI sands. The Company cautions that logging will only occur after the completion of drilling operations and that gas shows, although a positive initial indication, should not be considered conclusive without further wireline logging and analysis.
The Company will now proceed to drill the rest of the TAGI sequence and the Paleozoic.
Badile
As announced by the Company on 14 March 2017, the Badile exploration well, onshore Italy, has now been drilled to the first casing point at a measured depth of 545 metres and the 18 5/8" casing has been set and cemented in the Pleistocene Asti sands formation.
The Company continues to drill towards the second casing point at a measured depth of approximately 1,400 metres.
