Sound Oil, the upstream oil and gas company with assets in Italy and Indonesia, announces that it was notified on 6 September 2012 that Manxdale Holdings Limited ("Manxdale", a fund connected with Astin Capital Management Limited ("Astin")) is interested in 650,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company (representing 22.65% of the Company's issued ordinary shares) of which 553,101,045 are currently held in escrow (pursuant to the private placement through Astin announced on 16 July 2012) and 96,898,955 are held by Manxdale.
