Nervesa Second Well - Drilling Commences
Sound Oil, the European / Mediterranean focused upstream oil and gas company, is pleased to confirm the commencement of drilling of the second well at the Nervesa site in the Veneto Region, onshore Italy.
Site preparations were materially completed on 10 April 2015 - with the installation of a 20 inch conductor to a depth of 44 metres. The rig-up of the hydraulic HH220 rig, contracted from Hydrodrilling SrL, then commenced on Monday 13 April 2015.
With the rig-up completed in 10 days, the second Nervesa well was spudded on 23 April 2015. Drilling is expected to reach a total measured depth of 2054 metres and the drilling programme is expected to be completed in approximately 40 days, delivered in the following key phases:
· Drilling and logging (approximately 30 days)
· Completion and clean up (approximately 5 days)
· Well testing (up to 5 days)
The Company looks forward to updating shareholders on drilling progress. The results of the second Nervesa well will be announced after well testing is complete.
