Tendrara: TE-8 - Completion of Drilling
Sound Energy, the African and European focused upstream gas company, is pleased to announce that TE-8, the third well at the Company's Tendrara licence (onshore Morocco), has now been drilled to a final target depth at a measured depth ("MD") of 3,120 metres, corresponding to a vertical depth of 3,066 metres, some 359 metres into the Paleozoic formation.
As previously announced by the Company on 15 March 2017, drilling operations had earlier confirmed the presence of a TAGI sand sequence commencing at an MD of 2,643 metres and that gas shows had been observed.
The Company confirms that it has observed further gas shows during subsequent drilling operations, but cautions that logging has not yet occurred and that gas shows, although a positive initial indication, should not be considered conclusive without further wireline logging and analysis
The Company will now progress with a full data acquisition program of 5 wireline logging runs including the pressure and fluids sampling acquisition, after which the results of the well will be announced.
