                            CHAIRMAN'S AGM STATEMENT


John Poulter, Chairman, will make the following statement at today's Annual
General Meeting:


'Trading during the first four months of the year has been positive and
consistent with our expectations of 'further good progress in 2006', as
indicated at the Preliminary Results announcement in March. Management actions
to increase operating margins and focus on cash management are on track.'
