Spectris plc ('Spectris') (LSE: SXS), the expert in providing insight through precision measurement, today announces that Mandy Gradden has been appointed to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 16 October 2023.

MANDY GRADDEN

Mandy is Chief Financial Officer ('CFO') of Ascential plc and brings to the Board significant experience in finance, investor relations, strategy, digital and software.

Before joining Ascential in 2013, Mandy held a variety of financial roles, including CFO at the FTSE 250 technology business, Detica Group plc, CFO at Torex, the private equity owned retail technology firm, Director of Corporate Development at Telewest and Group Financial Controller at Dalgety plc. She began her career at Price Waterhouse, where she spent eight years and where she qualified as a chartered accountant.

In addition to her executive career, Mandy was previously a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at SDL plc and is Chair of the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Authority Advisory Panel.

Through the search process, the Nomination & Governance Committee considered the composition of the Board as a whole, taking into account the balance of diversity, ethnicity, skills, experience and knowledge, as well as the tenure and independence of all Board members.

Announcing the appointment, Mark Williamson, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Mandy has agreed to join the Board. She will bring a broad range of relevant and current experience to the Board, alongside her significant knowledge of the current financial and reporting landscape and I look forward to welcoming her to the Board."

Mandy will join the Audit & Risk Committee and the Nomination & Governance Committee on appointment to the Board.

There are no further details to be disclosed in respect of Listing Rule 9.6.13.
