                 Acquisition of Waterford Hire Services Limited



Speedy Hire is pleased to announce the acquisition of Waterford Hire Services
Limited ('Waterford Hire').


Waterford Hire is a long standing, well-respected, independent tool and
equipment hire business with 31 employees operating from two depots in Waterford
City and South Kilkenny in South East Ireland.  The acquisition adds to Speedy
Hire's existing depots in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, which
are now in their second full year of operation.


The consideration for the acquisition is a maximum of €6.5 million.  Of this
€5.2 million is in cash, with the balance to be satisfied by the issue of a
maximum of 74,587 Speedy Hire shares on 29 February 2008 depending upon
Waterford Hire's performance in its financial year ending 31 December 2007.
