                           Completion of Acquisition

The Board of Speedy Hire Plc is pleased to confirm that following its
announcement on 22 April 2005, Birse Group shareholders have today approved the
acquisition by Speedy Hire of the business and certain assets of The Cabin
Company Limited and the acquisition has been completed.
