Speedy Hire announces the following changes to Directors' and PDMR's interests
in the Company's ordinary 5p shares ('Shares').



Share Purchases by Directors and PDMR



On Friday 30 June 2006, the Directors and PDMR purchased Shares all at 872p per
Share as indicated below.  These purchases have been made in accordance with the
rules of the Speedy Hire 2004 Co-Investment Plan (the 'CIP'). The rules of the
CIP were approved by shareholders at the AGM in July 2004.

On Friday 30 June 2006, Sanne Trust Company Limited in its capacity as Trustee
of the Speedy Hire Employee Benefits Trust (the 'EBT') purchased 95 Shares at
872p per Share.  As a result of this purchase, the EBT now holds 633,788 Shares
(1.38%) of the Company's issued share capital.  As potential beneficiaries of
the EBT, all Directors and PDMR of the Company are treated as interested in
transactions by the EBT.



Share Purchase by PDMR

On Friday 30 June 2006 David Bell purchased 17,046 Shares (0.04%) at 879p per
Share. Mr Bell did not hold any shares prior to this purchase.
