EMCO is well known in the USA as a provider of flow measurement products for HVAC, industrial applications involving steam, gas and liquids, and commercial and municipal water and waste water applications. EMCO product lines include vortex, turbine and ultrasonic flow meters which complement and enhance the Group's existing flow metering technology. The EMCO business will become a division of Spirax Sarco, Inc. The purchase consideration, which is $4.5 million (£2.5 million), will be paid in cash and funded from existing resources. Spirax Sarco provides knowledge, service and products for the control and efficient use of steam and other industrial fluids worldwide.
