STATEMENT ABOUT TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc ('the Company'), provides knowledge, service and
products, including peristaltic pumps, worldwide for the control and efficient
use of steam and other industrial fluids.
Further to this morning's results announcement, the Company confirms its plans
to make market purchases of up to 2 million Spirax-Sarco Engineering Plc shares
to be held by the Company in treasury in 2006. These will be used to meet the
demand for shares in respect of share options, the share ownership plan and the
performance share plan.
