Appointment of a Board Director
The Board of Spice plc ("Spice" or "the Group"), the provider of Total Utility Support Services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Lee as a Director of Spice, with effect from 11 March 2009. Chris Lee had recently been appointed to the position of Head of the Group's Supply Division, having joined Spice following the acquisition of Inenco in 2006.
Christopher Lee, aged 49, is a Chartered Director and has over 30 years experience in the utility industry with a technical emphasis on energy procurement, energy trading and energy efficiency markets.
In due course, the Group expects to appoint at least one additional Non-Executive Director, and a further announcement will be made at the appropriate time.
Simon Rigby, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"I am delighted to welcome Chris as an Executive Director of Spice. Since joining Spice in 2006, Chris has made a significant contribution to the growth of our Supply Division. I anticipate that Supply will continue to grow as a proportion of Group profits over the coming years and this is reflected in the appointment of Chris, as Head of the Group's Supply Division, to the Board."

NOTES TO EDITORS
Spice plc
Spice is a total utility infrastructure support services business. The Group's operations were founded in 1996 and have their origins in the electricity industry, although the range of activities has since been expanded into other niche areas. The Group is organised into two divisions to match its utility customer base; a Supply Division; and a Distribution Division. Spice's businesses have a common theme of delivering and co-ordinating infrastructure services to customers, and the technological element within the product mix has been built up significantly over the course of the last three years.
