  SPIRENT APPOINTS PRESIDENT OF EUROPE AND WIRELESS FOR COMMUNICATIONS GROUP

Spirent plc, the international network technology company, today announces
that it will be promoting Geoff Zeidler, currently Director of Business
Development, to the newly-created role of President of Europe and Wireless
for Spirent Communications.

The role will include operational responsibility for the existing Wireless
operations in New Jersey, Texas and the United Kingdom, and strategic
responsibility for developing both the Telecoms Test division and Network
Monitoring division businesses into Europe.  Mr Zeidler will report to My
Chung, Group President of Spirent Communications.
