APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

London, UK - 18 April 2016: Spirent Communications plc ("Spirent", the "Company" or the "Group") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, today announces the appointment of Paula Bell as Chief Financial Officer.  Paula will join the Company's Board as an Executive Director on 5 September 2016 and will report to Spirent's Chief Executive Officer, Eric Hutchinson.

Paula is currently Chief Financial Officer of John Menzies plc having joined in 2013, and prior to that was the Group Finance Director of Ricardo plc from 2006. Paula has held senior finance and leadership roles at BAA plc, AWG Plc and Rolls-Royce plc. Paula is also Non Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Laird PLC.
