NOTIFICATION OF DATE OF 2009 PRELIMINARY RESULTS

London, UK - 20 January 2010: Spirent Communications plc (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, announces that it intends to release its preliminary results for the year to 31 December 2009 on Thursday 4 March 2010 before the opening of the UK market.

The Company will host a results presentation at 09.30 UK time on Thursday 4 March 2010 at RBS, 250 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 4AA. A simultaneous webcast of the presentation will be available in the Investors section of the Spirent Communications plc website www.spirent.com.
