                    Appointment of New Media Gaming Director

Sportech PLC ('Sportech') is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Brown
as New Media Gaming Director reporting to Roger Withers, Acting Managing
Director.

Chris, currently director of Non-Retail and Information Services for StanleyBet,
a division of Stanley Leisure plc, will join Sportech in early August.

In his new role, Chris will bring together Sportech's betting and gaming
businesses through all existing channels of distribution, including landline and
mobile telephone, internet and IDTV via SKY, AtTheRaces and ITV. He will be
responsible for Sportech's portfolio of branded products including Bet Direct,
BetDirectcasino.com, BetDirectpoker.com, Littlewoodscasino.com,
Littlewoodspoker.com and Littlewoods Game On.

Roger Withers, Acting Managing Director of Sportech PLC, said:
