The scratchcards will be available within Sainsbury's stores and petrol

20% of revenues generated from the sale of the scratchcards will be donated
direct to Comic Relief. Four different Comic Relief scratchcards will be
offered, including the 'Taste the Difference' scratchcard, which offers a £2
'Taste the Difference' voucher within it's prize range.
Colin McGill, Managing Director, Sportech plc, said:
'We are delivering on our strategy of identifying new channels of distribution
and product innovation, building upon our successful Littlewoods gaming and
betting portfolio. We will work with Sainsbury's to deliver a range of
scratchcards that fit its brand values and provide interest and excitement for
its customers as well as generating additional cash for Comic Relief.'
Sara Weller, Assistant Managing Director, Sainsbury's, commented:
'During the last Comic Relief campaign our customers and colleagues raised over
£4.5 million, making us the biggest single donor. The campaign also increased
the number of customer visits to our stores. We know that customers trust the
Sainsbury's brand and we believe that an innovative product like this will
capture their imagination as well as further strengthening our own label
offering.'
