                             ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING



The Annual General Meeting of Scottish and Southern Energy plc ('SSE') took
place in Perth today.  All 14 Resolutions, as set out in the Notice of Meeting
on page 101 of the Annual Report 2007, were passed by shareholders, with a vote
of at least 98% in favour.
