SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERN ENERGY PLC
BOARD APPOINTMENT
Alistair Phillips-Davies, currently Director of Energy Supply at Scottish and
Southern Energy (SSE), will join the Board of SSE on 1 January 2002 as Energy
Supply Director, reporting to Chief Executive Jim Forbes. He has overseen the
introduction of NETA for SSE and will now discharge all of his
responsibilities from Board level.
Commenting on the appointment, Bruce Farmer, Chairman, said: 'In view of the
importance of energy supply in current markets we believe that it is right for
this important area to be represented on the Board. I am sure Alistair will
make a significant contribution to the future success of our company.'
