Reinvestment of September 2002 dividend under the Deferred Bonus Plan
The Company was notified yesterday of the purchase of 10,654 Ordinary Shares of
50p each in the Company at a price of £6.808 per share, pursuant to a regular
standing order instruction.
The purchase was carried out on 30 September 2002 by Bedell Christin Trust
Company Limited, trustees of the Scottish and Southern Energy Deferred Bonus
Plan ('the Trust'). The purchase related to the reinvestment by the Trustees of
the September 2002 dividend.
For Companies Act purposes, the Executive Directors are regarded as having an
interest in shares held by the Trust.
