SSE plc announces that a total of 29,157 shareholders have elected to receive the interim dividend for the year ended 31 March 2015 of 26.6 pence per ordinary share in respect of 306,837,442 ordinary shares in the form of Scrip dividend. This will result in a reduction in interim dividend cash funding of £81,618,760.
A total of 5,348,770 new ordinary shares, fully paid, will be issued on 20 March 2015, representing an increase of 0.54% on the issued share capital on dividend record date of 23 January 2015. The relevant Scrip Reference Share Price was 1,525 pence per ordinary share.
