SCOTTISH AND SOUTHERN ENERGY PLC

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING RESOLUTIONS

The Annual General Meeting of Scottish and Southern Energy plc ('SSE') took place in Perth today. All 12 Resolutions, as set out in the Notice of Meeting, were passed by shareholders.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.2, two copies of resolutions 9, 10, 11 and 12 are being submitted to the UK Listing Authority. These documents will shortly be available for inspection at the Document Viewing Facilities of the UK Listing Authority which is situated at:
