Scottish and Southern Energy plc - Voting Rights and Capital


In relation to the previous announcement released on 30 November 2007, the
Company has been subsequently notified by its Registrar, Computershare Investor
Services, that a further 52,222 Ordinary shares were issued on 30 November 2007
due to a conversion of a financial bond. The revised figure of 863,863,087
ordinary shares should be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
