ST. JAMES'S PLACE CAPITAL PLC (SJPC)
Management appointments
SJPC announces that John Newman, Group Sales Director, has decided to retire
from the Board of SJPC in 2003, at a date (yet to be decided) which is
convenient to the Company. Ian Gascoigne, currently Sales Director (Northern
Region) is being promoted to Deputy Group Sales Director with the intention
that he becomes Group Sales Director when John Newman retires.
In addition, with effect from 1 January 2002, David Bellamy, who has been with
the Group since its inception in 1992 and is currently Group Operations
Director, will take up a new role as Managing Director of the Company.
Mike Wilson, Group Chief Executive commented:
'John Newman has made a great contribution to both the growth and development
of our salesforce, the St. James's Place Partnership, and the Company in the
10 years he has been with the Group. We are immensely grateful to him for
this and for the notice he has given us of his intentions to retire in 2003,
so that we may plan accordingly.
I also welcome the appointment of David Bellamy as Managing Director in
recognition of his extensive range of responsibilities within the Group'.
