St. James's Place Capital today announces that Martin Moule, Finance Director, has informed the company of his
intention to resign from the Group to take up the position of Finance Director, UK Life at Zurich Financial Services.
It has been agreed that he will remain with the Group until 1 September 2003.
Andrew Croft, aged 38, who has been Executive Director, Finance of the Group's main operating subsidiary, St. James's
Place UK Plc since 2001, will become Finance Director of the Group. He will also, subject to regulatory consent, join
the Board of St. James's Place UK Plc.
Commenting today, Mike Wilson, Chief Executive of St. James's Place Capital, said:
'We are delighted to appoint Andrew Croft, who has been with us for over ten years, and has considerable experience of
the Group. We would like to thank Martin Moule for his contribution to our development and wish him well in his new
position.'

Andrew joined Price WaterhouseCoopers in 1985, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. He moved to NM Financial
Management in 1990 and subsequently joined St. James's Place Capital (formerly J. Rothschild Assurance) in 1993 as a
Financial Accountant. He was promoted to Head of Group Services in 1995, to Head of Finance in 1997 and subsequently
to Executive Director, Finance in 2001. Andrew has a degree in Accounting & Economics from Southampton University.
