Re: Directorate
As notified by SJPC on 1 March 2005, the appointment of Simon Gulliford as an
independent non-executive director of SJPC became effective on 12 May 2005.
Simon Gulliford's interests in the securities of SJPC at the date of his
appointment are nil.
SJPC is also delighted to announce a further Board appointment with effect from
12 May 2005.
Mike Power joins the Board as an independent non-executive director. Mike is
Professor of Accounting and Director of the ESRC Centre for Analysis of Risk and
Regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he has
worked since 1987. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales and an Associate of the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation.
There are no circumstances to be disclosed in accordance with Listing Rule 6.f.2
(b) - (g) for Mike Power.
Mike Power's interests in the securities of SJPC at the date of his appointment
are nil.
Finally, as stated in the preliminary announcement of results released on 1
March 2005, Lord Weir and Anthony Loehnis resigned as non-executive directors of
SJPC with effect from the Annual General Meeting held on 12 May 2005.
